Shen-Lungs, or Asian Dragons, are a species of dragon that lives in parts of southeastern Asia including China. Unlike their Western cousins the European Dragons (Western Dragons), They have serpent like bodies and lack wings. However, they can fly using Magic that allows them to levitate. They also reside in Temples and are calmer and less greedy then their Western cousins. They are also harder for the Order of St. George to track down, making them safer than their Western counterparts. This is also because they are not obsessed with power, unlike the Western dragons.
However, several Eastern Dragons were killed by Vessels during Fang and Fire.
Several Asian dragons have been introduced so far, most of them in Inferno, however only one has been in more than one book. That dragon is Jade.
